This painting is using cameo lighting. The woman is highlighted by a single source of light, showing her and nothing else. To achieve this form film a light source would have to be placed directly in front of the actress, with barn doors closing on each side to focus the light directly on her face and torso. Without the barn doors the bottom of her arms would be better lit.
This was shot with a single light directly in front, but raised a little above.
